Yes. The vehicle will only be accommodated on the cargo vessel — M.V. Blue Wave Harmony. This service is not available on the passenger vessels (T&T Spirit, A.P.T. James, Buccoo Reef & Galleons Passage) as passengers are not allowed to disembark the passenger ferries once on board.
The cost one-way to transport a car to or from Tobago without an accompanying driver on the M.V. Blue Wave Harmony is TT$ 150.00, and return cost is TT$ 300.00.
Yes — depending on your sailing times. The earliest sailing from Scarborough is 6:30 a.m. and from Port of Spain is 6:30 a.m. (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays), and the last passenger vessels depart at 4:00 p.m. from both destinations.
Exception: On Wednesdays there is only one passenger vessel in operation — departing Scarborough at 6:30 a.m. and from Port of Spain at 4:00 p.m.
No — tickets are non-transferable. Name changes are not allowed on any tickets.
- Tickets purchased at authorized Travel Agencies and at the Ferry Terminals (Port of Spain & Scarborough) are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase; these tickets can be revalidated (changed) once for travel within that year.
- Tickets purchased online are valid only for the date of sailing and cannot be revalidated (changed).

Documents must be printed exactly as shown in the links. A refund will incur a 25% service charge.
Yes — unused, valid ferry tickets can be submitted for a refund, provided the ticket was not revalidated (changed) or expired (expiry date stated on the ticket).
Refunds can be done at both the Port of Spain and Tobago Terminal offices and will incur a 25% service charge.
Ticket refunds cannot be submitted until after the date of travel has passed.

Yes — provided that pets are well secured in safe kennels/cages. You must obtain a 'Cargo Shipment Form' from the Freight Cashier on the day of travel for the animal.
The pet will be kept on the vehicle deck and will not be allowed in the passenger cabin during the voyage.
You must have the names of the travellers, and the name should appear on the ticket exactly as on government-issued photo identification.
If you are booking for a senior citizen of Trinidad & Tobago (60 years and over), ensure you have a valid National Photo ID or T&T Passport.
Yes — children under the age of three (3) travel free on the ferry; however, they must obtain a ticket for travel. Tickets for infants must be requested at the time of purchase of the ticket for the accompanying adult.
Yes — there are restrictions. Particularly, propane gases and flammable liquids are restricted. All goods deemed as Dangerous Goods under the International Maritime Organization (IMO) / International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code must be declared 48 hours (2 days) prior to being placed on the cargo vessel. Dangerous Goods are strictly prohibited on passenger ferries.
Flammable items such as LPG cylinders and oxygen tanks are not allowed on any inter-island vessels (passenger or cargo).
Procedure for transporting declared dangerous cargo via M.V. Blue Wave Harmony:
- Complete and submit the IMO Dangerous Goods Declaration Form and email to the Health & Safety (HSE) department of TTIT two days before travel. Driver's name, vehicle registration, driver's permit, and vehicle insurance must also be emailed.
- On the day of travel — bring two hard copies of the completed form for verification and certification by HSE.
- Present the approved declaration to the Chief Officer on board prior to embarkation. The Chief Officer will direct the vehicle/loader to the designated cargo area.

Yes — but the Health & Safety Office at the Port of Spain and Scarborough Ferry Terminals must be notified in advance. The corpse must be placed in an appropriate container and transported in a vehicle.
If you are in possession of a firearm, you must declare it at the Security checkpoint for processing by the Port Police. Present the receipt to designated personnel on board before disembarkation for retrieval.
Note: Retaining possession of your firearm onboard the Ferry is a contravention of the ISPS Code of the International Maritime Organization.
Materials can be transported on trucks. Rates are based on the trailer's MGW (loaded) and TARE weight (unloaded).
The cost for the driver's ticket is TT$ 37.50 (one way on the cargo vessel). Alternatively, one may rent a flatbed — but this must be arranged in advance.

- Anyone displaying flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to enter the terminal or board the vessels.
- Loitering is not allowed in terminals. Follow instructions of staff at terminals and onboard.
- Avoid crowding during embarkation and disembarkation. Follow staff instructions.
- Limit movement during sailing.
- Cafeteria operations may be limited — passengers are encouraged to travel with their own food and drinks. Only plastic bottles allowed onboard.
No — as of now, vaccination is not required for travel on the ferries. However, the Port Authority continues to encourage vaccination to control the spread of COVID-19.
- All claims against the Port Authority / TTIT and/or its agents must be submitted in writing within ten (10) days of the alleged occurrence. Failure to comply will result in non-processing of the claim.
- Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the nearest Safety or Security personnel — whether on board the vessel or at the port (Port of Spain or Scarborough).
- For missing baggage/items: the Baggage Handler will direct the claimant to the Security & HSE Department to make a report. If not addressed at that time, claimant must submit documents within 10 days of the incident.
- For damage claims to vehicles or persons: The officer on duty must direct claimant to the Health & Safety and Security Department. Photos and necessary documentation will be taken. Written claims must be submitted within 10 days from the date of occurrence.
- Claims must include travel ticket stubs and luggage stubs (if applicable).
- Claims are processed under Bye Law 51 made under Section 22 of the Port Services (Dues Charges and Management) Ordinance — subsidiary legislation to the Port Authority Act Chap. 51:01.
LPG cylinders are not allowed on any inter-island vessels.
Customers wishing to transport an LPG cylinder between points (e.g. Sea Lots compound ↔ Crown Point facility) must surrender the cylinder at Sea Lots and receive a receipt (indicating whether cylinder is full/empty or new/used). The customer then presents the receipt and their ID/Driver's Permit at Crown Point to collect the cylinder.
The same process applies for transport from Crown Point → Sea Lots.

Additional Requirements:
- IDs must be valid (not expired).
- Only original tickets purchased at Ferry Terminals or authorized agents will be accepted at check-in (no photocopies).
- For vehicles, the driver must present at check-in the original certificate of insurance for the vehicle (registered or unregistered).
