On July 24, 2017, the Blue Wave Harmony was commissioned into service as the primary cargo vessel for the inter-island sea bridge. This conventional Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) vessel is designated to transport cargo between Trinidad and Tobago. Originally built in 1988, the Blue Wave Harmony is approximately 158 meters in length with a draft of 7.3 meters. The vessel provides essential commercial transport services, carrying everything from consumer goods to heavy equipment and commercial vehicles. The voyage takes approximately 6-7 hours, with the vessel typically departing Port of Spain Monday through Friday at 2:00 PM and returning from Scarborough at 11:00 PM. On Sundays, the vessel departs Port of Spain to maintain continuous supply chain connectivity.
